Mt. Fuji tea canisters painted by the designer Ichiro Tanimoto. He applied his brush directly onto the curved surface of the canister.
Also shown are chopsticks and a chopstick rest created by the ceramic artist Sohraku Iwata. I have heard that firing ceramics into such thin, straight forms is extremely difficult, so I think the result is truly remarkable. The tips of the chopsticks are finished with lacquer.
