Autumn in Kyoto, Matsuo Taisha

Matsuo Taisha is located at the western end of Shijo-street.

There are so many shrines in Kyoto, but there are few  very large shrines, called Taisha.

At this time of autumn, many families visit the taisha for  Shichigosan.

Shichi-go-san is an annual Japanese festival to celebrate the growth of children.
