京都和紙工芸社

Three-tiered cherry-blossom black and silver glitter

Seasonal Pattern:2024.04.12

This year’s cherry blossoms in Kyoto bloomed all at once.
There is an old Japanese waka poem that has this meaning.
“If there were no cherry blossoms in the world at all, the hearts of people who spend spring would have been peaceful.”

It paradoxically expresses the charm of cherry blossoms.

I agree with  the poet at this time of year.

The cherry blossom pattern: Designed by Maeda.

Color schemed by Toshiyuki Tamaoka.
